couturier Jean-Louis Scherrer dies

French designer Jean-Louis Scherrer, of the way that drives Jackie Kennedy at the height of his career, is dressed died. He was 78 years old. The French Federation of Couture said the designer died Thursday morning in Paris. The cause of death was not immediately known. After training in Christian Dior Scherrer has launched his own label in 1962 to life and held his first exhibition in a basement. The house has become a symbol of elegance Uptown in 1980. But he went through some tough times financially, and the house was sold. Scherrer, who had remained as artistic director, was rejected in 1992. The fashion house was closed in 2008.  Scherrer's funeral was scheduled for June 26 at a cremation at Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris.
